    Description

    This early item is approximately 4 and 1/2 inches wide by 3 and 5/8 inches long.  It is not a postcard.  The reference to not taking in consumptives (people with TB) is at the bottom left of the proprietor's name.  The actual postcards that are at auction on E-Bay for this hotel, do not show it with the porches at the second and third floors.  They are newer than this item.  There are people standing outside the wall and a bicycle.  There is an older item similar to this one that is also not a postcard but it does not have a reference to "Consumptives not taken" and the daily rates are higher than the ones on my item.  Therefore, my item is older.  Also, that one is at auction for .00.  My item is in good condition in consideration of its age.  There is a crease at the top left corner of the side with the written description.  There is a very light discoloration at the bottom edge under the proprietor's name that you can see in the photos.  On the picture side, that discoloration is at the bottom edge under the words "View Hotel".  Please see photos for condition.
